Wrapware is physically sealed and packaged software for a computer that is sold as a boxed product.  Wrapware can be sold online as a boxed product but is not downloadable online by intent. Wrapware is software that was created before the internet was used for downloading software. The term is intended to distinguish software specifically produced for physical distribution before it become common to download software online.

Recently, I searched for the term wrapware on Google and Wikipedia. Based on my research and to my surprise, the terms does not exist online. Either I made the term up in my head a long time ago, quite possible but not likely, or it has not been documented.

Wrapware documented.
